Evanston’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP) establishes goals to ensure that Evanston is prepared for the daunting impacts of climate change. It calls for ambitious reductions in carbon emissions, to reach carbon neutrality by the year 2050. Evanston Council member, Eleanor Revelle, will update us on the present status of CARP and current implementation strategies. She will also suggest ways in which WU members can help with efforts to enact legislation needed to achieve the CARP goals.
